My fingers cant stretch far, I can barely get my first finger on one fret with the ring finger 2 frets down. I can but its hard. My fingers like to go down in an upside down triangle fashion. I assume this will change over time the more I play. I don't plan on getting a smaller guitar because that would look stupid.

I like this as u start at the basic and thats what i need & i am fining it very help full as i have go a cd and OMG! its took me 20 mins to play one cord right lol :) just hope in time i can play at least one song. many thanks for your help so far. ;) steph

@azteca555 good for you...i always tell self-taughts this, though: i was gigging professionally and teaching guitar after self-teaching for 2 years....i DID hit a real wall, though...(i was getting very much into pat metheny and pat martino...not simple rockers)... i realized that the only way i was going to reach my full potential is to talk to someone who's far closer to reaching THEIRS, so i got lessons from a true monster and it blew my mind... u might wanna sit down with a pro soon. :)
